2016 Maxwell Award HOT LIST!

IT’S HERE! The 2016 Maxwell Award Watch List is out for “College Player of the Year.” According to MFC (Maxwell Football Club), “Each year the Maxwell Football Club presents the Maxwell Award for the College Player of the Year. This award is presented in honor of Robert W. (Tiny) Maxwell, legendary college player, official and sports columnist.”

Now, you might be thinking, “Who exactly votes for these players?” According to the MFC, voters for the Maxwell College Awards are NCAA Head College Football Coaches, members of the Maxwell Football Club & sportswriters and sportscasters from across the country.

Derrick Henry, running back for Alabama (now Tennessee Titan) and collector of prestigious college football awards such as the 2015 Maxwell Award and Heisman Trophy, will be a contributing voter this year!

On a side note, does anybody else think it’s funny that there are 2 Notre Dame players listed…and both are Quaterbacks…competing with each other? So yes, this is a “Watch List” indeed.

The Watch List is dominated by QBs & RBs but there are 16 WRs and just 2 TE’s worth mentioning.

Feast your CFB eyes!
