Former USC Trojans coach, Steve Sarkisian of “partying with the players a little too much” fame, is in the process of joining the Crimson Tide. Truth is, Sark is a player’s coach and is an incredible coaching talent with a ton of smarts. Personally, I think he’s learned his lesson and now that he has another extraordinary chance to re-establish his career in the CFB world with, arguably, the country’s most recognizable college powerhouse, he’ll soar like the Trojans expected of him.
The Sark was fired in the middle of the season last year (2015) due to drinking issues (mixed his meds w/ alcohol). Looks like Sark will be taking over the Offensive Coordinator position that quiet Lane left behind.
Nick Saban, head coach of Alabama, is quoted as saying:
“We are pleased to be able to hire an offensive coordinator with the pedigree and experience of Steve Sarkisian. He has a tremendous offensive mind and is someone we believe will do a great job of teaching and developing our football team on the offensive side of the ball.”
Looks like Kiffin will still run the offense through the playoffs.
