Nnnnnnoooooooooo! Actually, you know what? You can’t blame the bloke. He came in the class of 2014. Huge expectations (from the Irish and…myself). He’s going into his senior year and he hasn’t recorded an official statistic of a catch, carry or tackle…just a lot of slaps on the old backside.
Dang it! C’mon Irish! Justin’s a big dude who’s lean, fast and had great potential.
Let’s take a stroll down memory lane: Justin Brent is a former four-star recruit out of Indianapolis Speedway high school (Indiana) who committed and signed with Notre Dame as a wide receiver in the class of 2014. However, he was moved to running back after his first year in the system. Brent was rated the No. 67 overall player in the country according to 247Sports <–BTW, love this site!
More from 247Sports’ Tom Loy:
“The 6-2, 220-pounder, who received permission to contact multiple schools on Friday, will graduate this summer and take his talents elsewhere. Although he is open to many schools across the country, Brent says Indiana, UCLA, Miami, Arizona State, Purdue and Ohio State are all schools he’ll look closely at.
Brent enrolled early in South Bend. Upon graduation, he’ll be able to play immediately and has two years of eligibility.
As a senior in high school, Brent rushed for 1,315 yards and 18 touchdowns. He added 28 receptions for 387 yards and five touchdowns.”
